Hello! I'm Didi and today I'll be reviewing the book, "Fireborn" by Aisling Fowler.
Summary
The land of Ember is full of monsters. Twelve gave up her name and identity to train in the art of hunting them--so she says. The truth is much more deadly: she trains to take revenge on those who took her family from her. But when Twelve's new home is attacked, she'll find herself on an unexpected journey, where her hidden past is inescapably intertwined with her destiny--and the very fate of her world.

I adored this book! The characters were very intriguing and the magical world was very immersive. I enjoyed learning about Twelve and how her past led to who she is today. The side characters were amazing and I loved the detail put into them. Dog was also a very interesting character. I loved how he slowly went from feeling like Twelve and the others were burdens to feeling affection towards them. The adventure was exciting and the mysteries were riveting and kept me guessing. I also liked the darkness and this book gave me goosebumps during certain parts. I loved this incredible book.

This book was fantastic and I would rate it a 9/10. I recommend it to upper middle grade readers who enjoy books with some
darkness in it.
