Hi! It's Didi here and today I will be reviewing the book, "Smile" by Raina Telgemier.
Summary
Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, seriously injuring her two front teeth, and what follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, mortifying headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there’s still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly. This coming-of-age true story is sure to relate with anyone who has ever been in middle school, and especially those who have ever had a bit of their own dental drama.

I loved this book so much! I can't really explain why. It's just amazing. No, that's not the right word. I think the word I am look for is.. breathtaking. This book takes us through Raina's middle school years and a few of her high school years. I really enjoyed reading about Raina's life and learning about how she dealt with all the obstacles in her path. I couldn't tear myself away from this book. I read this book multiple times, and every single time (even though I knew the entire plot of the story) I was amazed. Amara and Will were also so cute in the book! Something else that I definitely connected to in this book was Raina's love of video games. So relatable!
